Beauty

My mom is the most beautiful person I know. Her heart for her children is proof. "Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised." (Proverbs 31:30)

Thank you for raising me in the church, without that background I would be utterly lost
Thank you for being a rock for this family and the glue that holds it together
Thank you for your loving kindness, even when I didn't deserve it
Thank you for accepting me for who God made me to be
Thank you for sticking by me, even when I was wrong
Thank you for cleaning my house =P
Thank you for your heart of gold
Thanks for being mom

By the way, I think you are Beautiful

March for Babies

*First let me say that it has been a crazy couple of months and my blogging has suffered the brunt of it. I have many photos to show you and I cannot wait to do so. So many things are changing right now and  I have so much to share and a few things that I will keep to myself until the time is right for me to reveal them. Just wait and see read about it. I won't bore you anymore and I'll just jump straight into some new pictures!

This past Saturday I completed my first 5k. Let me start by saying that if not for my sister-in-love, I would never have even though about doing this. March of Dimes was very special to her and she always wanted to walk it. This year was her first as well. I decided in the spirit of a healthier me that I would walk it with her. It also hit close to home because my husband was born premature (although you would hardly guess it now). It seemed so much further than 3 miles. The turnout was unbelievable! I was really and truly amazing to be a part of something so special. I think I have the 5k bug or something because I'm just throwing myself into it again this weekend for another family fun walk/run.
My personal goal is to jog is next year.

Pondering

I attended the funeral of my best friend's mom a while back. I've been to so many funerals. Most of them being my grandparents. I was young at the time and didn't fully comprehend what a funeral was for. In my simply understanding of the process, I thought it was what you did so you could bury the person. Since then  I've grow a bit older (and wiser). You see funerals in a whole new light with added years on your heart and soul. I believe you learn a lot more about a person at their funeral. Or at least you learn what other people saw in the life of their deceased loved one. It makes you think about how others perceive you. Not in the trivial things like what kind of clothes you wore or how big your house and paycheck were. I'm talking about the heart of the matter, the heart. What they think about your character. I don't think I want to wait until the funeral of a loved one to express to others what I thought about that loved one. In a study we did called "30 Days to Live", it changes your whole perspective on life. Imagine if you only had 30 days to live. I imagine I would be calling up everyone I knew and loved and tell them just how much I loved them and what they meant to me. I would also want to live a life that others would be proud of me. Not just other people, but my God first and foremost. I want to live a life according to what God has called me to do. A thought process has begun in my mind. I wonder??

The Children's Musuem

I have been putting this post on hold for the last several days. I just can't find a moment to sit down and post the rest of the pictures. I do have to say a very special thanks to my wonderful sister in law Abbey for taking these pictures for me and sending them to me. Do you ever get the feeling when leaving the house that you have left something important, something that you might really need? Well, that day it was my camera. Which is why I am so grateful to Abbey for capturing these memories for me. Thanks! I will upload the rest soon!
