Over the Lake and through the Woods

To Granmommy's house we go. The kids and I took a trip to mom's house last Friday. We enjoyed spending the day with everyone. Poppy put the training wheels on Ayden's bike and James looked after Logan while mom and I dug through pictures.

Mom and I ended up pulling some old pictures out of storage boxes they have been kept in for years. There are hundreds of pictures to go through and so we decided that we should scrapbook them. It would be so much easier to flip the pages of a book instead of pulling the pictures from their individual packets. I've been scanning some of these into the computer and so I can post some later on. It is a long process.

Oh, I found my old "scrapbook" from when Michael and I were dating. I use the term "scrapbook" lightly because I didn't even know what a scrapbook was back then. I saved simple mementos of special little things we did, movie ticket stubs, rose petals from the dozens of roses he used to buy me (I can't help but find the humor in that), pieces of wrapping paper from Christmas and birthday gifts, the napkin rings that we took from each of the homecomings and proms he accompanied me to, and of course all the sweet little notes he wrote to me. I'm so glad that I can look back at these things and remember how it all started. It will be five years in November. It seems like we have been together forever. Thanks for being there, My Love.

La Moustache

El Senior Potato Head's Moustache actually. This is what we do in the mornings...

OK, I admit it, I'm the one who taught him how to put in on.

(The title came from the movie La Moustache)

My Outlet

I've had this itch to start using my sewing machine again. And I've come up with a few projects to work on.Here are just few of the ones I have completed so far.
I made a "Moby" wrap for Logan
This one didn't require the sewing machine, but it's something that I've been wanting to do for a while now. I picked up some wooden letters from Walmart, attached scrapbook paper and hooks to them and now they are ready to hang in the bathroom for the boy's towels.

So Precious

So this morning Ayden's teacher tells me the sweetest story about my son. Last Thursday they were coloring pictures for Grandparent's day. The teacher told the kids they could give the pictures to whoever they wished. Ayden says, "Teacher, I'm going to save mine and when I go to Heaven, I'm going to give it to my Papaw Boothe." This kid is so precious. It's actually his great grandpa who he has never met and has only heard stories about from my mom. Such a wonderful moment for a very proud mommy and grandmommy.

I Promise We Didn't Teach Him This

Sorry about the video quality. I had to quickly get the camera without Ayden knowing it, so I couldn't turn the light on. Michael was going through our music files and Ayden decided to show off his dance moves. Hilarious!

Sharing the Tub

You might have noticed that there are blogs that appear on what seems like random days. It is actually me "back" blogging. I decided that I was going to try my best to keep track of what happened on what day. I can't always get to it on the same day, but I can adjust the date. So if you see an old one you haven't noticed before, it is new, I finally got around to posting it. Was that confusing? Hope not. Enjoy the tub pictures. I LOVE bath time photos.

This boy loves the water. I had a hard time keeping the camera dry.

What Does it Take to Push Darth Vader's Buttons?

Apparently all you have to do is ask.

Look who we found at Chik fil a!

Logan was more interested in reading.
You are a lot taller in person.

The funny thing is Ayden thought Vader was just a costume. But when the Chick fil a cow came in, he believed it was a real cow.

Park Days

Being silly...
...is the best part of park days with Daddy
This was hard. Balancing the camera on the stroller, pushing the button then running to hop on the end of the dino before the timer was up. It took several attempts but we finally had a suitable one.

This was Lo's first time in the swing. He did very well.
We love park days, especially when Daddy comes with us. He makes it just a little bit more special.

Labor Day

"Labor Day is a glorious holiday because your child will be going back to school the next day. It would have been called Independence Day, but that name was already taken. ~Bill Dodds"

There were so many pictures to choose from I had a hard time narrowing it down. I'll try and keep the comments short.

Love this picture!

Logan was hanging around while we waited for Pinata time!
Ayden had a blast with his first pinata. I think we should make the Labor Day pinata a Moore tradition. In fact, I think we should have one for every holiday. (It was actually a left over 4th of July pinata)
No peeking! Ayden didn't quite grasp the idea the first few times around.

Cannon Ball!

While Ayden and the others swam, Logan took a cap nap in papaw's arms.
Every boy has loved the mule.
Gavin showed Lo a few tricks. This is how you blow the horn.

First Day

This was my little guy last year ready for MDO.

Everyday for the last several weeks I have been asked, "Am I going to school yet?" Well, I can finally say YES, yes Ayden you are going to school today. My little boy is growing up so fast. He starts preschool this year. We packed his cute little Star Wars backpack and Star Wars lunch box.I was so excited to buy his cute little school supplies. Glue sticks, scissors, and crayons galore.

These are some of Ayden's friends from last year, they were all so excited to see each other.
He had so much fun his first day of class. So far he has all happy faces in his notebook.

A Little Behind

You know, it's a shame that I don't have a picture of Logan's little behind to post, lol. It is all I could think about after I came up with the title. Little hinies aside, I finally took Logan to his 6 month Dr's visit. Here is a link to his 6 month pictures http://allthemooretolove.blogspot.com/2009/08/half-year-whole-lot-of-fun.html

As of today my baby is 16 lbs and 26 inches long. Perfectly healthy other than some congestion. I took these pictures while waiting for the Dr.
