The Children's Musuem

I have been putting this post on hold for the last several days. I just can't find a moment to sit down and post the rest of the pictures. I do have to say a very special thanks to my wonderful sister in law Abbey for taking these pictures for me and sending them to me. Do you ever get the feeling when leaving the house that you have left something important, something that you might really need? Well, that day it was my camera. Which is why I am so grateful to Abbey for capturing these memories for me. Thanks! I will upload the rest soon!

Did I forget to tell you?

My boy is standing on his own now?

He's not exactly standing on his own in this picture, but for the 30ish seconds that he does stand on his own? you get the idea.

A few collages for your enjoyment

Not so tangled Mess part 2 aka Logan's 1st Birthday

I will start here with Logan's 1st birthday party.
February 13th, *Party Day  (Actual birthday is on the 12th)

This was a very fun party for me to create. Logan's nursery theme is jungle/safari and so I carried that theme into his party. Guests were instructed to head to the zoo. Our house of course. And that's not to far from the truth, I feel we are on the verge of becoming a zoo sometimes. Guests were created at the front door with a welcome sign that I made with my new Xyron machine (LOVE IT!) and of course I don't have a picture of that, but maybe someone does and they can email me? Thanks!

I have to say one of my favorite things about the party was the cake. I had decided months in advance this was the cake I was going to make and so I had lots of time to consider how exactly I was going to do it.

OK, I admit... The night before the party Logan had a practice round before party day cake smashing. By cake time he was already a pro.
His hair was extra curly that day. All we did was wash it. He looks just like me.

I might be biased, but I think that these are the two cutest boys I've ever seen. Minus their daddy.

Notice the clothes change?
Thanks so much to everyone who made my little one's first birthday so special. I think our house was bursting at the seems, but I wouldn't have had it any other way.

A Tangled Mess part 1

The current method I am using to upload my pictures is not working for me. It's not as simple as it should be, or at least that my hubby should make it be (seriously babe, there has to be an easier way to do this). So I have lost track of certain timings between events and some pictures may be misplaced (they are certainly not lost) in the process. Having said that I am going to try and update you as best I can to what we've been doing the last several weeks.

We'll start with my birthday.
February 4th * Actual birthday
My mom took me out for one of my favorite splurges...
Soup, salad and breadsticks. Thanks Mom! Logan lounged and munched on a breadstick or two.

(Logan had to look the menu over before he decided)

February 5th *Party Day
We had a movie and popcorn night with some other concession stand foods. Although, I've never seen Petit Fours on the menu... hmmm. This was my first time making these little delicious cakes. Next time I shall make them smaller and perfect their shape. The lopsided corners drove me nuts.

I can't believe these little guys ended up in the same pjs. So adorable!

Mom and me

I am so thankful for everyone that came to celebrate another year of my life. Each one has a very special place in my heart, and my life. I have to say that I am extremely lucky.
February 6th
The Zoo
We have thoroughly enjoyed out zoo pass this year.  We have nearly worn it out.

I love that my boys are growing up together. Seeing them in this picture makes the future a little easier to see. I can see them growing up and playing together just like Michael and his brother did. There has been talk about adding to this Moore household. And there has been talk about not adding. All I can tell you is right now, in this moment, it's perfect. Who can say what God has in store for us. However things work out, I'm sure they will be just... perfect.

We had to get crafty with the camera for this one.

"There's a bear behind you!"

Oh just kidding, it's only the end of part one. Keep your eyes open for part two!

Hard to Believe

It's hard for me to believe that my baby turned one year old today. I think any mom can agree that the time flies by so unexpectedly. I think Logan knows he is a bit bigger, a bit older, maybe even a bit wiser today. He had the biggest smiles all day long and gave big toothy grins to every stranger.

Then again... wisdom might come with a few more years.
